- Members sold coloring books and stuffed characters as fundraiser and collected $931.00 for the Back to School Shopping Spree and The American Cancer Society.
- Collected hearing aids and 1242 used eyeglasses in 2009 & 1916 in 2008 from various Optometrist & Lasik Centers for re-cycling.
- Supported District Lions initiatives and raised money for Lions charities.
- Collected milk gallon jugs filled with soda tabs for the Ronald McDonald house at Jackson Memorial Hospital to help diabetes and dialysis patients.
- The Club attended The Dade & Broward Special Olympics & helped in organizing & running some of the track and field events.
- The club was instrumental in providing vision screening and glasses for 3 needy children and seniors.
- A Golf Tournament was held on at the Miami Shores Country Club. It was a success and we raised $10,286.50 & $1740 in raffle sales.
- Members chaired, planned, and organized a district wide Back to School Shopping Spree and raised money for 407 under privileged local elementary school students, each got $50 in back to school supplies and clothing at Four Wal-Mart Stores. 114 Lions & Leo members and 132 volunteers attended this worthwhile cause, together with, 10 Kiwanis members donated time, money and 200 Back Packs. Miami lakes Lions club donated 100 Book bags and 29 refurbished desktop computers to a local school. District 35A Lions donated to our School Shopping Spree.

- Our Club contributed funds to the Florida Lions Camp in Lakes Wales, to help defray cost of tuition & transportation of visually impaired youths.
- Provided three partial college scholarships to local handicapped students defray tuition and or other educational expenses.
(“The Michael Young Scholarship Fund”).
- The members held a BBQ Fundraiser on at United Auto and received gift certificates & food donations from Win Dixie, Costco & Lion members.
- Members visited three nursing homes for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day plants and socks were distributed to all present.
- Members held Flea Market & Clarice’s Raffle sales activities $380.
- Members walked for the Diabetes Awareness Walk-A-Thon.
- The members dropped off Lions Magazines & Brochures to different organizations informing them of our Lions charities.
- Members attended a Senior Health Fair at City Hall.
- The Ink Cartridge Com. collected used ink cartridges & raised $501.00.
- Happy and Sad bucks were collected as a way to sponsor different charities.
- Collected pennies for Lions Projects Inc.
- Members sold Hot-dogs and raise $751.64.
- A Lion member is a District 35 Region Chair.
- The North Miami Beach Women’s club contributed to our Lion charities.
- The Bingo Hall contributions to our club was $2850, this contribution was instrumental in helping us reaching our community goals.
- Received various donations in the amount of $2,500.
